Fr. Jerry Thompson is a retired Roman Catholic Priest from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Fr. Jerry now works for the Diocese of Gallup at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Overgaard, Arizona as the Parish Administrator.
With FJT Ministries, Fr. Thompson has established a House of Prayer located in Concho Arizona. Fr. Jerry Thompson is the director of FJT Minisitries and a member of a private association of clerics with other priests of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
He studied Liberal Arts and received his Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia and graduated from Saint John’s Seminary Camarillo, California with a Master’s in Divinity. Fr. Jerry has a background in counseling psychology as well.
Fr. Jerry is 24 years ordained and was ordained by Cardinal Roger Mahony on June 4th, 1994 at the former St. Vibiana Cathedral in Los Angeles. He has served in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and as a hospital chaplain. He also leads world wide pilgrimages and most notably a walking pilgrimage, "The Way of Saint James to Compostela."
Fr. Thompson has been involved in the Charismatic Renewal since the 1980's prior to being ordained. He has been a guest speaker at SCRC Conventions in Anaheim and other conferences through out the USA ans Canada. Father Thompson has been the celebrant for Masses and Healing services for the SCRC youth tract. He has been involved in LIFE Teen Ministry and helps with the sacraments at youth retreats.
Fr. Jerry celebrates Charismatic Masses, Healing Services, Days of Recollections, Conferences, Lenten Missions and Advent Missions in the Los Angeles Archdiocese as well and other Dioceses through out the United States and Canada.
Fr. Thompson who has a great devotion to our Blessed Mother, Saint Anthony and Saint James is also a Spiritual Director for pilgrimages though out the year and he organizes and walks the "Way of Saint James" to Santiago de Compostela yearly with a group of Pilgrims.
